apptidal started from a frustration anyone who has searched an app store will recognise. The charts are crowded, every screenshot promises the world, and the difference between a tool you keep for years and one you delete before the weekend is rarely obvious from a thumbnail.

We are a small editorial team of long-time app users, writers, and tinkerers. We are not a storefront and we do not sell software. Every page exists to answer one question: should this app be on your device or not?
